Equipment list.

Drums :YAMAHA's. Like most players these days, Dave tends' to change his set depending on the musical situation - it typically centres around a 20" or 22" Bass Drum. Toms are usually 10" & 12" racks, with 14" & 16" floor-toms. The floor toms sometimes get substituted with a single 15" ( hanging ), though one set ( Maple Custom ) has 10" & 13" racks & a hanging 16".
Tom & Bass Drum depth's are " conventional " ( IE : 12" x 8" / 22" x 14" ) - he is not a fan of " Power " sizes .... His ( Maple Custom Vintage ) Jazz set has an 18" BD, 12" rack & 14" floor tom.

He generally prefers the Recording Custom & Maple sets, but recently used & was very impressed with the new Beech Custom drums.

Favorite snares include the Manu Katche [5.5"], Vinnie Colaiuta, 25th Anniversary & the recently introduced 4" Bronze model.
